Today, the following joint statement in response to the Biden Administration’s Executive Order on Strengthening Access to Affordable, High-Quality Contraception and Family Planning Services was released by Hadassah National President Rhoda Smolow and Hadassah CEO Naomi Adler, National Council of Jewish Women CEO Sheila Katz, Jewish Women International CEO Meredith Jacobs, and Network of Jewish Human Services Agencies President & CEO Reuben Rotman:
“Complete reproductive freedom includes the right to access all forms of contraception. Since the Supreme Court’s decision one year ago to overturn Roe v. Wade, reproductive freedom has been threatened nationwide. We’re proud to support the Biden Administration’s continued efforts to support reproductive health, including the ability to access all forms of contraception. The Jewish community has and continues to be at the forefront of the fight for reproductive health, rights and access, and our organizations will continue to advocate for federal and state actions to safeguard this right, and ensure all women have the autonomy to make reproductive health decisions based on medical guidance, their own values and what they feel is best for their health, their families and their future.”
