The Network is excited to announce that we are launching a unique global clinical learning experience focused on trauma and crisis response. This exclusive opportunity is for mental health clinicians under 40 years of age to travel to Israel on a Network-sponsored seven day training and volunteer program funded by Birthright Israel Onward and The Network.
Clinicians will learn from Israeli clinical leaders and experts in trauma treatment as well as engage and volunteer with Israeli organizations responding to crises through varied therapeutic approaches. This trip will take place between February 24 – March 3, 2025.
This program is funded by Birthright Israel Onward and is open to mental health clinicians, age 18-40, that work for organizations associated with The Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies.

The Details:
- Dates: February 24th – March 3rd, 2025
- Training: Learn from NATAL in an 8 hour training about how to work with clients experiencing trauma, including assessment, intervention techniques and community supports and how to cultivate resiliency.
- Volunteer Work: Engage with Israeli organizations responding to crises (organizations TBD).
- Cultural Enrichment: Participate in Shabbat, site visits, and cross-cultural encounters.
- CEUs: The Network is exploring approval for 6 CEUs for this training.
Eligibility:
- Mental health clinicians employed by a Network member agency.
- Clinicians under 40 years old, per Birthright requirements.
- Open to all, regardless of religious affiliation or prior experience with Israel.
Cost and What’s Included:
- Included: Hotel in Tel Aviv, local medical insurance, staff escorts, transportation, Shabbat dinner, and a basic meal stipend.
- Flights: Participants arrange their own flights but can receive a $700 reimbursement from Birthright after completing the trip. A 15% discount is available on El Al for nonstop roundtrip flights.
Fees:
- $50 registration fee and fully refundable $250 program deposit (payable to Birthright).
- $500 participant fee to cover the trip, training, and CEU costs (payable to The Network after Birthright confirms your spot).
