The Network is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $450,000 grant from the AARP Foundation to support Project EM: Empowering and Employing Our Community from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2027. This transformative funding is part of the AARP Foundation’s Scaling Solutions for Older Adults program, which aims to improve the financial resilience of individuals aged 50 and older who are living with low income.
Through partnerships with 19 agencies, Project EM provides a robust suite of services, including holistic employment support, career counseling, and access to over 500 online learning opportunities. With this grant, the program will focus on addressing ageism, closing digital literacy gaps, and equipping older adults with tools to achieve financial stability and meaningful employment.
“This grant will significantly expand the reach and impact of our services, helping more older adults achieve financial stability and meaningful employment,” said Elizabeth Enck, Network Director of Workforce Programs.
