As a Network of agencies that regularly works with all local Jewish communal organizations, our focus is to ensure that all staff working in Jewish organizations throughout Los Angeles receive the support they need to continue to serve their community. We are pleased to announce that we are partnering with JCFS Chicago’s Jewish Community Emergency Response Team (JCERT) to provide a series of drop-in, online groups for all professionals who work in Jewish communal organizations, who have been impacted by the Southern California wildfires. These drop-in groups are open, time-limited and specifically structured as forums for professionals aimed to provide a space for gathering and support. The groups are facilitated by JCERT volunteers and are offered on the following days and times:

The Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies stands as a collective of 170+ nonprofit Jewish human service organizations spanning the United States and Canada. The Network unites efforts to create a positive impact on the lives of nearly two million clients annually. Member organizations collectively provide a comprehensive array of human services for individuals across all age groups, both within and beyond the Jewish community.

JCERT was established to respond to mental health needs following a crisis situation. Professionals from across our community, trained in Psychological First Aid and other interventions, work collaboratively to support the community through consultation, resources and in-person care. JCERT is a program of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, administered by JCFS Chicago, in partnership with other Chicago area Jewish social services agencies.
