The Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies is pleased to announce it is partnering with JCFS Chicago’s Jewish Community Emergency Response Team (JCERT) to provide drop-in, online support groups for professionals working for our member agencies, who have been impacted by the Southern California wildfires. As a Network of agencies that regularly works with all local Jewish communal organizations, our focus is to ensure that staff working for our member agencies throughout Los Angeles receive the support they need to continue to serve their community.  The groups are facilitated by JCERT volunteers and are offered on the following days and times:

Monday, January 27th from 12:00-1:00pm PST

Tuesday, January 28th from 2:30pm-3:30pm PST

Thursday, January 30th from 9:00am-10:00am PST

The Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies stands as a collective of 170+ nonprofit Jewish human service organizations spanning the United States and Canada. The Network unites efforts to create a positive impact on the lives of nearly two million clients annually. Member organizations collectively provide a comprehensive array of human services for individuals across all age groups, both within and beyond the Jewish community.

JCERT was established to respond to mental health needs following a crisis situation. Professionals from across our community, trained in Psychological First Aid and other interventions, work collaboratively to support the community through consultation, resources and in-person care. JCERT is a program of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, administered by JCFS Chicago, in partnership with other Chicago area Jewish social services agencies.

For any questions about these Drop-ins, please contact Tamar Wyte-Lake, Crisis Response Program Manager at The Network or Ann Luban, Senior Director of Jewish Community Services, JCFS Chicago.
