SUMMARY:NETGroup: Development/Fundraising & Grant Writing
DESCRIPTION:Topic: Donor Fatigue: The Struggle is Real \nAs the demand for resources grows and competition for donor dollars intensifies\, many organizations face a challenge that can undermine long-term sustainability—donor fatigue. This workshop will explore the complexities of donor fatigue and its impact on fundraising efforts. We will focus on how organizations can shift from a transactional approach to a more relational model of giving\, where donors are viewed as partners rather than just sources of funds. \nParticipants will learn actionable strategies for cultivating stronger\, more meaningful relationships with donors that can withstand the pressures of an increasingly competitive philanthropic landscape. Through real-time case studies\, the session will highlight both successes and setbacks\, offering valuable learning moments from real-world examples. The workshop will equip attendees with practical tools to foster donor loyalty\, reduce burnout\, and ensure a sustainable\, long-term donor base. \nPresenter: Pia Eisenberg\, Chief Business & Resource Development Officer\, Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Philadelphia (JFCS)

SUMMARY:How to Handle Ghosting During Your Job Search
DESCRIPTION:The job search can be a very frustrating experience\, especially when you believe you’re making progress with a terrific prospect\, but then\, suddenly\, things go silent. No phone call\, no email\, nothing. You have been ghosted. \nWhat should you do? Are you still in running? Did you do something wrong? Did they lose interest in you? Are they negotiating with another candidate? \nHerein lies the issue of being “ghosted” by a potential employer. Statistics indicate that 75% of job applicants say they were ghosted after a positive interview. It is insensitive. It is unprofessional. It is disappointing. Many job searchers\, including those who have completed multiple rounds of interviews\, are experiencing this issue. \nDuring this webinar\, NSENG Founder/CEO Marty Gilbert will provide you with some insight into specific actions you can take to combat ghosting. Here are some of the subjects he will discuss. \n– Why ghosting happens\n– How to reduce your chance of being ghosted\n– What to do if you suspect you’ve been ghosted. \nThere will be 20 minutes of open networking with fellow job seekers after the presentation.
