The Network AI Policy

Generative artificial intelligence (AI) offers a chance to help The Network in many ways, improving how we meet our member agencies’ and our community’s needs. We recognize, however, that fulfilling our mission, vision and values to provide meaningful resources to our members and to elevate the human services sector require us to work above all to create human connections. For The Network, artificial intelligence (AI) will always remain in service to and never be a replacement for those connections, human knowledge, and human understanding.

Given the ever-changing nature of AI and the valid concerns about AI’s potential for ethical challenges, when The Network uses AI, we will do so ethically and responsibly, by applying the following principles:
